Terms for using ExamDraft

These terms govern the use of ExamDraft as a tool for analyzing past exams, generating practice exams, and evaluating answers with AI support. The main goal is clarity: what the product is for, what remains your responsibility as the user, and which limits naturally apply to an AI-based study tool.

Version: April 2026 Bring Your Own Key Study use only

Summary

  • ExamDraft is intended for lawful personal exam preparation.
  • You may only use materials you have the right to use.
  • You use your own API key and bear the related model costs yourself.

1. Purpose of the service

ExamDraft is an AI-assisted study tool. It helps users turn past exams and optional lecture context into new practice exams, type-specific drills, and AI-assisted answer evaluation.

ExamDraft is not intended to replace official exam regulations, deliver binding grading decisions, or provide guaranteed predictions of a real university exam.

2. Permitted use

You may only use ExamDraft for lawful purposes, especially:

  • your own exam preparation,
  • legitimate study and practice workflows,
  • internal, non-abusive teaching or learning contexts.

Use is not permitted where it:

  • violates copyright, exam rules, confidentiality duties, or comparable restrictions,
  • processes protected third-party materials without authorization,
  • supports cheating, evasion, or misuse in real examinations,
  • abuses technical infrastructure or external providers in an unlawful way.

3. Your responsibility for uploads and content

You are responsible for the past exams, model solutions, lecture slides, or topic summaries you provide to ExamDraft.

  • You should only use content you own or are otherwise entitled to use.
  • You should not upload content whose use is prohibited by copyright, contracts, or exam rules.
  • If materials contain personal or confidential information, you must assess yourself whether their use is lawful and appropriate.

ExamDraft does not perform legal pre-screening of uploads. Responsibility for the legality of the submitted materials remains with you.

4. Bring Your Own Key

ExamDraft works with your own provider key. That means you choose the provider and you bear the resulting API costs yourself.

ExamDraft does not provide bundled model credits, its own token quota, or a flat-rate model usage plan.

5. Dependence on external providers

Parts of the product depend on external AI providers. If those providers change models, pricing, limits, or policies, that can also affect how ExamDraft behaves.

6. Quality, limitations, and liability

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or poorly phrased. That applies to analysis results, generated tasks, sample solutions, hints, and AI grading.

ExamDraft is therefore provided as a study tool “as is”. We do not guarantee that a generated exam perfectly matches the style of a future real exam or that AI grading matches the decision of a real examiner.

To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence is limited. Mandatory statutory liability, especially for intent, gross negligence, or non-waivable duties, remains unaffected.

7. Changes and further development

ExamDraft may evolve over time. That can include changes to the interface, supported models, indicative pricing text, export options, or available learning modes.

If these terms change in a material way, the current version published on the website is the governing version.
